A TRAVEL THEMED DESTINATION SANTA FE WEDDING
This love story has traveled around the world! An american girl and an English gent met in South Korea where they both live and work. They got engaged in Vietnam and then got married in Santa Fe! Friends traveled near (Albuquerque) and far (England, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Virginia, etc!!) to be there for their September wedding day in the mountains of Santa Fe! It was a wedding weekend extravaganza at Bishop’s Ridge some 7,400 feet above sea level… high enough to make you feel like you’ve run 10 miles winded and all when all you’ve really done is walked up a tiny hill. I now understand why professional athletes train in the mountains!
Anyways, I met Mia at my cousin’s wedding that I shot in Montana a few years ago! When she contacted me for her wedding I was SO excited! Even more excited that she wanted me to shoot her destination wedding in a state I’d never been to before! Mia and Michael’s family and friends were all so welcoming and friendly! I had such a great time meeting everyone and laughing… a lot.

Mia & Michael handed each guest a passport once they arrived at Bishop’s Ridge. Inside was information about the camp and important wedding timeline information! The blank pages in the back were for the wedding day when guests needed to “travel” at the reception to collection stamps from each table represented by another city or country that Mia and Michael have traveled to… SO CUTE!

Michael’s friend, Giles, officiated the ceremony! He flew from Saudi Arabia to be there for the big day! If that doesn’t scream great friendship, I don’t know what does!
The party really began when the surprise Mariachi band showed up!!!
