CAROLYN & MATT | A LINCOLN’S COTTAGE WEDDING | WASHINGTON, D.C.
Carolyn and Matt had one heck of a good time at their Lincoln’s Cottage DC Wedding! I met Carolyn and Matt last Fall and we discussed all aspects of their plans for their wedding day. They wanted red, white, and blue without it being “too 4th of July” – I think it was a success! I loved the garnet colored bridesmaids dresses and the guys in their blue suits complete with American flag socks! Just wait until you see their epic cocktail reception surprise!
I started the day with the girls getting ready at the Renaissance Inn in D.C.! The bridesmaids wore their “champagne campaign” tank tops were all ready when I arrived! I started with bridal details and loved that the room had TONS of natural light! Yay for lots of windows! I liked Carolyn & Matt’s cute vintage Save-the-Date postcards – perfect for this DC Wedding! The postcard made for a cute background for the rings!

We split up to travel over to Lincoln’s Cottage in Northwest D.C. I had NEVER been to Lincoln’s Cottage before – but let me tell ya, I can’t wait to go back! The property was gorgeous! We were blessed with a cloudy sky which made taking photos midday, a breeze! No harsh shadows! I loved that Carolyn and Matt built in a lot of time for their photos before the ceremony! We were able to finish all bridal, family, AND bride and groom photos before their ceremony!! They wanted to make sure they had plenty of time at their cocktail hour because they had a surprise for all of their guests!!! (Stay tuned!)

After group portraits we split off to take bride & groom portraits! It was PERFECT! We got everything done before the start of the ceremony! DREAM!
