FLASHBACK 2016: RING SHOTS

Let’s be real – no one has a giant picture of their ring hanging over their mantle at home buttttt they are pretty details to have captured at the engagement session and on the wedding day! No ring is quite like the other – I love getting to see the personality of each girls (and guys) ring! I like trying to include a part of the day into the detail shots — so you’ll see rings that I shot on top of the bride’s veil or the invitation. Tell me your fave in the comments below!

Remember the time I used my phone case for a ring shot backdrop?!

I found a red & white striped pillow for Tara’s ring… and I placed it on bright blue patio furniture and had a happy accident that it looked like an american flag!
Rachel’s engagement ring is one of a kind! Dex is going to wear his Grandfather’s wedding band when they get hitched in June!Julie’s something blue tied into her wedding band! I used the letter Christine wrote to Jeff on their wedding day for a ring shot background! I love the personal touch! Not to mention — how amazing is Christine’s custom designed ring?!Holy guacamole – I’ve never seen a ring quite like Emilie’s ring! The setting was passed down and her fiancé, Brian, picked out the most beautiful diamond for the center!

This green tiled table made for a neat backdrop for Alli’s engagement ring!I chose to photograph Haley & Robbie’s rings on Haley’s veil with lace passed down from her Grandmother.
Would you believe I actually used two pillows for this shot of Erika’s engagement ring?!Ring shots don’t succ. Balancing those rings on the succulent was a task… but no rings were lost in the process so I’m happy.
