CATE & ZAC | GLEN ECHO PARK ENGAGEMENT

Cate emailed me and told me that she wanted somewhere new and unique to take engagement photos. We tossed around some ideas and then she mentioned Glen Echo Park just over the Virginia/Maryland border and I was like… “Yeah, sure, let’s do it!” I’d never been there before and I love when couples choose a location that is new and fun to explore! As everyone on the East Coast knows, it was freezing cold and windy the first weekend of March because of the Nor’easter but that didn’t stop us from taking engagement photos! We had the park practically to ourselves. It WAS cold but they totally “champed” (I made that up…) through the session.

Loved getting to hangout with these cool kids for a few hours talking about wedding planning, Zac’s job (he’s a police officer), and laughing about the cold and whether or not props are a good idea for an engagement session – keep scrolling… (I know they were glad they brought their blanket for the cuddle up shot but “mad” when I stole it for ring shots haha!)

Fun Fact: Cate and Zac were guests at a wedding I shot last November and I didn’t even know it! Shoutout to the Johnston gals for linking us together!! I can’t wait to capture their Fall wedding in Leesburg later this year! But for now, enjoy my favorites from their Glen Echo Park engagement session!
