BENNETT & RICHARD | RICHMOND VIRGINIA ENGAGEMENT SESSION
It all started at a date party at Virginia Tech. They met, they brunched the next day… and the rest is history! Brunch wins. Bennett and Richard are currently living in separate cites, Richmond and Norfolk but planning a beautiful wedding in Richmond for next November so it was fitting that we captured their engagement photos in Richmond! First we started along Monument Avenue (a classic RVA fave!), wandered the Fan for a little bit, then headed over to the pedestrian bridge by Belle Isle. In their spare time, they love to spend time together outside. Walking around with Bennett and Richard – you could tell that they’re just two peas in a pod. While I was editing I could see the sweet way Richard stared at his bride to be and it was just too cute!
I can’t wait to photograph these cuties again next Fall! Til then, here are my favorites from their Richmond engagement session!

Found some much needed shade (and breeze!) under the pedestrian bridge. Had to dodge some bikers, dogs, and river goers – but worth it for another RVA spot!
During our time on the bridge I was asking Richard what the thought about the Hokies football season and then it came out that he actually used to be a cheerleader for VT his junior and senior years! I was like WHAT?! Tell me everything. I mean it’s not every day you get to talk to male cheerleaders. I tried to convince him to hold up Bennett on one hand… but that didn’t happen.
