Jennifer and Brandon’s wedding day at The Dominion Club in Richmond was one of my favorites of the year. Why? Because we just clicked! (okay wow – unintentional pun but I’ll take it!) Their day was filled to the brim with LOVE – literally, that’s their last name. (Okay, I gotta stop.) Anyways… filled with love, fun friends, strong family bonds, and wild dance moves. A well-rounded day from getting ready to the sparkler exit. I felt like a friend attending the wedding because that’s how Jen and Brandon make you feel! I started photographing details in the bridal suite with Jen while my second photographer, Heather, photographed Brandon and the boys – what a funny crew – you’ll see… seriously bro love.
After the first looks and wedding party photos in back of The Dominion Club, we drove to their church ceremony just a short distance away. One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was when Jen and Brandon were told to turn around and look at everyone who was in attendance. The day goes by so quickly so I love when my couples are told to pause and just take it all in!
Back at The Dominion Club, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while we took the golf cart on a joy ride… I mean over to the green for some photos. We wanted to go across the pond to a dock and gazebo but there were probably 500 teenagers over there for Prom photos so we decided to cut our losses and stay on our side HA! Once the party started, it didn’t stop! There was an intense round of limbo that made for some good photos! I left before the official end of the party but we snuck outside with the wedding party to shoot a sparkler exit!
Thankful for clients who are so easy and go with the flow! You can tell by the smiles on both of their faces that they were truly enjoying their day to the fullest!
Enjoy scrolling through this October wedding at The Dominion Club!
I thought this was the sweetest thing! Brandon had a photo of him with his grandfather on his tie! Okay… bridal goddessssss Father/daughter first look time! Bride/groom first look!! Cuties!!! The result of me saying, “okay, take a little step closer together…” Major bromance in this crew. Love it. The love never ends and I’m here for it. We ended their engagement session with a jumping pic so we had to end wedding pics with a jump too, duh. I’ll never be over Jen’s warm smile! And then they played limbo for a few songs and it made the BEST photos!
Shoutout to their vendor team!
