7 WEDDING KEEPSAKE IDEAS| RICHMOND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Once the wedding day is over, your heart will be full of memories and beautiful wedding photos (obvi!)… but I’ve gathered up 7 other wedding keepsake ideas that can be incorporated into your special day and serve as a reminder of it for the rest of your life!

1. WALL ART – Sarah Catherine and James commissioned a custom wedding logo from Emily Kathryn Designs to use throughout their day! From gift tags to the save the date and this framed piece that they welcomed guests into the reception with and could later hang in their home.2. CAKE KNIFE – I love this idea! Custom cake knife to take out a special occasions for years to come.

3. CUSTOM ART – My super talented friend Christine Olmstead creates beautiful masterpieces like the one below! You could use her work as a photo back drop or a cake backdrop then have the piece stretched and wrapped to hang in your home! Um – YES! 4. KOOZIE – Who doesn’t love a good collectable koozie?!5. CORN HOLE BOARDS – Alli and Andreas had this beautiful customized corn hole set at their brunch wedding last year!

6. WREATH – Obviously I’m sitting here with two thumbs up for this boxwood wreath! Each door of the church had a monogramed wreath and with preserved boxwood – it lasts forever! Perfect take home to decorate with!

BONUS ideas that I’ve heard of  (but don’t have pictures of)…

  • Live painting – You can hire an artist to paint LIVE at your wedding! They can paint scenes like the ceremony or the reception. Pretty cool custom keepsake!
  • Pressed flowers – I had a friend send her bridal bouquet off to a gal to get it pressed!
  • Song lyrics – You can get a copy of your wedding song in sheet music to frame OR hire a calligrapher to write the lyrics to your favorite song for a memento.

Do you have an awesome keepsake from your wedding not listed above? I’d love to hear it! Comment below!
