I met Rachel back in college at Hollins University! She’s SUPER sweet, smart, and really funny. “The Rachel” can totally make you laugh. I was THRILLED when she called and asked me if I had any free days in my schedule to make a trip up to New York City to take her engagement photos! I love NEW YORK CITY!!!! I always have and it was really special that she wanted me there!! Rachel is originally from Richmond, VA but moved to NYC after college for a job in marketing. Rob has lived in Staten Island his whole life and works in IT. Rachel and Rob met through mutual friends, went on a couple of dates, and the rest was history. It was my first time meeting Rob and immediately I felt like I had known him a long time. I had a blast doing my “Brett thing” in beautiful Central Park. Finding spots and capturing moments between these two! It’s so special to me that I’m able to travel for a job I love and capture people in love especially when they’re people that I know! I can’t WAIT to cheers, celebrate, and dance the night away at their Charleston wedding next Fall!!
On this particular day in the city, there was a film crew set up behind us… every once in a while people would walk by chatting about location scouting for the next shot… I was just hoping that Channing Tatum would walk by.
