LORA & KYLE | A DOWNTOWN MONUMENT AVENUE ENGAGEMENT | RICHMOND, VARichmond is one of my favorite places to visit! For one thing, I have family close by and several college friends! There is so much to do in Virginia’s capital and so many places I would love to shoot! When Lora and Kyle mentioned Richmond for their engagement session – I was really excited! One thing they definitely wanted was greenery. At first I wasn’t sure how that would work because, being March, the trees were still bare! BUT while I was driving around town, scouting locations, I noticed some really pretty greenery down Monument avenue and, of course, fell in love with it! We all know how I LOVE boxwoods… well I found plenty to keep me happy! I had a blast laughing with Lora and Kyle while wandering down Monument Avenue, staring at beautiful homes and then ending the evening with a FULL MOON in the sky by the VMFA.

One of my favorites! How sweet are they?!

In loveeee with this architecture…

Oh, Lora!
I’m a sucker for boxwoods, brick, and topiaries… trifecta!

We found this grassy side yard and took advantage of it! Rare to find yards on a city street!

Loveeee!

and then we transported ourselves to Italy…
But really – how is this in Richmond?

When old ladies walk by and wonder why they’re standing in front of a door taking photos…

We ended the evening at the VMFA…

I love the way they look at each other!
HELLO — do you see that FULL MOON?! So cool!
