Oh, what a dream to photograph this Charleston engagement session! One of the best things about traveling to Charleston to attend a wedding was having extra days for hanging out with friends and getting to take engagement photos at RAINBOW ROW! I loved getting to capture these cute photos of Erika and Luke by these iconic row homes on East Bay Street – take me back! Erika and I met during college – I even took her college senior pictures once upon a time! It was great to have Erika in front of the lens again because she radiates happiness!
Erika and Luke met six years ago during the Spring of her freshman year of college. She and a few friends planned a road trip to UNC Wilmington and the first person they met while visiting the campus was Luke… and he was covered in mud because he had just finished up this crazy game called “ooze ball” – volleyball but in a mud pit. Fast forward a little bit and Erika was back in NC for the summer and Luke officially took her on their first date to a trick motorcycle show and pizza for dinner. When they left dinner they discovered Luke’s truck had been towed! Yikes!! They ended up being inseparable that summer and have been in love ever since!
