KATIE & JON | CANAL WALK & BELLE ISLE | RICHMOND, VIRGINIA

Katie and Jon’s Canal Walk and Belle Isle engagement session in Richmond was one of a kind! Katie and I went to college together and when Katie emailed me about her engagement to Jon, I was so excited! I had actually met Jon a few times throughout our college experience and was so happy when she knew she wanted me to photograph her wedding! When we started talking about her engagement photos she knew that she wanted to incorporate Richmond and some colorful graffiti! It was fun to shoot in such a unique spot! We had the area all to ourselves and I kept saying “this is so cool!” It was funny because it was both of our first times begin down at the Canal Walk so we explored it together! Afterwards we headed to Belle Isle to capture the last bit of daylight during golden hour. I knew I wanted to capture golden hour at Belle Isle and it was perfect!! The sunlight poured over the tree tops and down the river — it was sooooo pretty! Here are a few of my favorites! I can’t wait for their Lexington wedding next June!

Belle Isle is one of my favorite places to come in the summer for swimming & relaxing on a hot day!Fave!! Congratulations Katie & Jon! I can’t wait to see you in JUNE!!!
