RAINEY & ANDREW | ROMANTIC FAIRYTALE WEDDING | THE WOODLANDS, TEXASI’m going to come right out and say it – WOW! Every single details from this romantic Woodlands wedding had me speechless! I had been looking forward to photographing this wedding all year long. Not only was I going to be traveling to Texas to photograph a wedding but I had already been a part of capturing their proposal and engagement photos and couldn’t wait to witness and capture the happiness of their day. If you remember from my past blogs about Andrew and Rainey, I’ve known Andrew his whole life! His parents and my parents have been friends for over 30 years so naturally my parents (and one of my sisters) were in attendance at the wedding! It was also the first time my family had ever seen me in action – so that was pretty cool!
The words I would use to describe Andrew and Rainey’s day would have to be romantic and elegant – truly a fairytale. I don’t think I’ve seen that many flowers in all my life! I literally couldn’t believe my eyes – you won’t either – keep scrolling!!! Andrew and Rainey and everyone around them smiled all. day. long. As they said I Do’s under an altar of flowers in the stunning Chapel in the Woods, you could feel the excitement and love in the room as soon as they were announced as husband and wife!!

The only request Andrew had all day was saving his first look with Rainey to be when she came down the aisle. So instead, they shared letters with each other around the corner from one another! Such a sweet moment!

Have you ever seen a moment SO SWEET?! Truly the sweetest emotion as the chapel doors opened and Andrew saw his bride for the first time! I’m pretty sure everyone was crying as Rainey walked down to Ed Sheeran’s “Tenerife Sea”.

One of my favorite moments!
Immediately following the ceremony, we headed to the tree line for portraits!! We had TEN minutes to grab as many portraits as possible! I think we nailed it!

Love this shot that Becki took of them under the veil!

Another fave! all the heart eyes…

Wedding squad looking’ good!
STUNNING bouquets from Blush & Vine!

All Rainey’s girls looking so pretty!!!

Looks like Andrew and the boys had a pretty good time getting their photos taken!
Those bridesmaids bouquets tho… oh em gee. Blush & Vine – you’ve done it again!
I’m all for bridal bouquets with fluffy blooms and greenery!

My mouth DROPPED as soon as I saw the reception space!

FUN FACT: Rainey made this sign back in the day when Andrew was singing/performing with his pop group, Savvy!! They weren’t even dating yet!!!!!

I loved how the bridal party stood around and watched the first dance…

Before dinner was served, people got on their feet and danced a little bit!

I love this photo of Andrew and his mom dancing and his sister on the left and brother on the right… family moment!

hahahahahah – I can’t stop laughing!!!!
Garter toss or…
Michael Jackson medley with Alan and Drew (Andrew’s Savvy group mates!)

The unique thing about this wedding was that I got to be their photographer AND their guest! I photographed everything, with the help of my second shooter Becki, from the getting ready to the parent dances and then I put my camera down, changed into my party dress, and hit the dance floor! It was, honestly, the best of both worlds!! I got to “do my thing” all day and then got to enjoy with my friends! Some people might think I’m crazy… but it worked! (I did a pretty good job of not picking up my camera again … but I may have done it once or twice. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my second shooter who took over for the reception!) I had her snag this one of me with my family!

THEN… to end the night – they turned on the lights… we all got into a huge huddle and sang to “Closer” by The Chainsmokers at the top of our lungs. Then right at the first drop everyone released their confetti wands and it was MAGICAL!

See — evidence of me “guest-ing” at a wedding with my sister! haha
