So excited to kick off the 2017 season with Kathryn and Jason’s CityCenterDC engagement session! When Kathryn mentioned taking engagement photos at CityCenterDC… I felt silly because I had literally never heard of it before… I’m SO glad she recommended it! It was fun to shoot in a new urban setting! And hellooo how cute are those snowflakes and bistro lights strung up between the buildings? So cute! We may have accidentally picked the coldest and windiest day, but Kathryn and Jason stuck it out like total champs. We stopped a few times to wait for people to walk by… but we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves! Before our fingers froze off, we stopped inside Dolcezza for a second to get warm and to get some lattes. YUM! Kathryn mentioned how she had seen the cute coffeeshop photos I had taken of Andrew and Rainey in Houston last year and we created some coffeeshop photos of our own!
This was the first time I had ever met Kathryn and Jason and we hopped into taking photos like we had known each other forever! I love when that happens! Can’t wait to photograph their Rust Manor House wedding later this Fall! Now for some of my favorites from their CityCenterDC engagement session!
How cute is their style?!
How fun is that pattern on the Louis Vuitton storefront?
“Ignore the people eating lunch in the restaurant next to you…”
Me: Tell Kathryn something you love about her!
Jason: *whispering* I like your butt
I just noticed you can see me (what the heck face am I making…)
Pretty sparkly ring!
This might be a stretch… but doesn’t the little dark spot in the marble look like the state of Virginia?!?! Humor me, people.
Congratulations Kathryn & Jason! I can’t wait until November!
