CAILIN & SHAZAN | WESTFIELDS GOLF CLUB WEDDING | CLIFTON, VA
It was the most beautiful Fall October day for Cailin and Shazan’s wedding at Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, Virginia! The day started with capturing getting ready details at the Griffith household in Woodbridge. The bridesmaids were finishing up their hair and makeup and Cailin was making sure that I had everything and asking if the room was light enough… oh yes… the room had plenty of light, tons of it! I wish all brides had rooms as bright as hers! Unlike most of my weddings, I had not had the chance to meet up with up Cailin and Shazan prior to the wedding day – life was just too hectic and our schedules never matched up BUT that didn’t change anything! Upon meeting them both, I felt like I had known them for a long time! They were both so comfortable to be around!
I photographed the boys and the girls separately because it was important for Cailin to see Shazan for the first time as she walked down the aisle. The guys were hilarious – I don’t often get a chance to photograph the guys because I’m normally photographing the girls while my second shooter photographs the guys BUT we had plenty of time where I got to photograph both groups and it was so fun! The ceremony was short and sweet and we immediately went into family photos then bridal party then ate up all that golden hour light for Cailin and Shazan’s portraits!!! They were f l a w l e s s for sure and Westfields Golf Club had a beautiful backdrop for their photos! Still can’t get over how beautiful they both looked yesterday!
Cailin and Shazan took photos with their friends and family throughout the reception and I enjoyed meeting all of the little kids at their wedding who couldn’t stop dancing and blowing bubbles at me! Ha! Kids at weddings always keep the party going! There was dancing, lots of eating, and a grand bubble exit! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Khan – it was an honor to photograph your big day at Westfields Golf Club!
