MEGAN & JARED | BIG CHILL BEACH CLUB | BETHANY BEACH, DE

Remember these two from their Charleston engagement session on the beach? Well it’s only fitting that these beach bums had a Bethany Beach wedding! Filled with bright colorful flowers, hawaiian vibes, and good times – Megan and Jared are officially husband and wife! After meeting on an airplane flying out of Maui, (read more on that on their engagement post!), Megan and Jared had one of the most colorful beachy weddings I’ve ever been to. Guests came from near and far (including: Hawaii, Uganda, Ireland to name a few!) dressed in “aloha casual” and surrounded Megan and Jared as they tied the knot waterfront on the beach.

For me, the weekend started on Friday as I made my way to Bethany to hangout for rehearsal and meet up with Megan and Jared and their family and wedding party! For destination weddings I love going the night before (because who wants to get stuck in stressful traffic the day of the wedding?!)… anyways… it’s always nice to get to meet everyone before the big day!

Saturday started off with the girls getting their hair and makeup done and the boys… well the boys went to the beach because boys take 3 minutes MAX to get ready… especially when they are also in “aloha casual” – love it! The morning was relaxing and we had so much time to chill and take photos before heading to the beach! But before we left for the Big Chill Beach Club, we prepped for the first look! It was SUPER sunny, but the house across the street had the perfect siding in the SHADE – perf! I think my favorite thing about the day were the genuine smiles and laughter that followed Megan and Jared wherever they went.

Guests stood while the wedding party walked down the sand towards the tropical arbor that faced the ocean. The ceremony was short and sweet with their friend Victoria (their friend from Maui) officiated and a friend and aunt gave readings. The Maui friends surprised Megan and Jared with traditional Hawaiian leis that they had Fedex-ed straight from Hawaii! Such a sweet surprise!

You’ve probably guessed by now that the reception was cool and relaxed… and a ton of fun – IT WAS! The Bachelor Boys Band played, everyone ate tacos, drank beer, danced, and enjoyed the insanely delicious dessert table filled with cupcakes, lemon bars, macarons, and more!

What’s a wedding without some custom koozies? Megan’s Dad gifted her this gorgeous necklace the morning of her wedding! Doing a little honeymoon reading, Megan? Meg loves color – so no doubt had to have those mermaid nails. The sweetest first look with her dad! Tears all around! Then we did a first look with the bridesmaids! and it was hella cute. The boys were shunned to the patio and weren’t allowed to come downstairs. They survived… they had beers. We prepped for the first look with Jared! LOL @ everyone trying to peep.

Megan’s “brothers” from Ireland! The boys came over a few summers ago for a summer exchange program and have been friends with the Price family ever since! Flowers by Alison KILLED this Hawaiian arbor!!!!! OMG! Birds of Paradise and Protea – all the HI vibes! Everyone stood on the beach and it was perfect! “Aloha Causal” was the dress code – I think their guests nailed it! Jared’s parents!! LOL YESSSSS! The Maui girls surprised Megan and Jared with real Hawaiin leis that they had FedExed for the wedding!!!! Megan: “Awww Jarebear!”
Lots of stories to be had… like how they met. Megan’s long winded story written on their wedding site about the madness and craziness of late flights/missed flights/looking like a mess… and Jared’s words: “Megan and I sat next to each other on a plane.” Really – you should read the story… it’s TOO GOOD. Recognize these two? I shot their wedding last Summer! A very sweet blessing by Megan’s grandpa! OMG PRECIOUS!Had to sneak out for sunset photos… OBVI! I’m obsessed obviously. Megan found a heart shaped shell!

 Another favorite! Always happy! I lied. This one is my favorite. Pure happiness! YASSS MARRIEDDDDD! Party alllll night!! Everyone loves to “shake it like a polaroid picture…”
