When Celia suggested Sugarloaf Mountain for her engagement photos, because naturally, I googled it… and it was beautiful! We started on this gravel road (we only had to jump out of the way for two cars… haha!) but it reminded us both of countryside in Europe or something! Celia mentioned how it reminded her of a road in France. With the light coming through the trees off and on, it was totally romantic! We jumped into photos right away and it felt like we had known each other for a while which was great because Celia and Matt were so comfortable in front of the camera!
While Celia and Matt aren’t getting married until next October, we had to schedule their engagement photos asap because Celia is about to leave for Taiwan next week… for a YEAR! She’ll be teaching English over there! At the same time, Matt is taking some time off work to go back to school for his masters in technology!! Big year of exciting things coming up for these two!
After shooting on the gravel road for a while, we drove up to the first overlook – goooorgeousss! Then we hiked, yes hiked, a little hike, up several steep, stoney steps… my legs felt like jello because I had done like a million squats this week… so I was a little tight (hahahahaha!) We eventually made it up to the top and it was SO worth it! The light coming through the trees was magical! I don’t often get to shoot in landscapes like this! Anyways…
