THE PETERSON FAMILY | VMFA RICHMOND FAMILY SESSION

Who recognizes this adorable family from their Quirk Hotel wedding last May? They’ve added a new addition to their Peterson family photo! Welcome to the new baby boy! I was so excited to capture this family session “in my backyard” at the beautiful VMFA! It was a beautiful summer night – a little hot – but still filled with people enjoying their evening around the lawn. The VMFA is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Richmond because it’s only a mile from my apartment and it’s so peaceful to sit outside and enjoy the trees, flowers, sculpture garden, and water. I LOVED the bright colors that Libby chose for the family! After their pink Quirk wedding, I knew their outfits were going to be awesome when she said “I went with a colorful theme.” While I took photos of Libby, Nick, and the baby, the other three kids were excited to run around and explore. I promised each kid they’d get their own picture in their own spot and they all picked “up on the hill,” obviously. So up we went!
