MEREDITH & JEFF | INTERCONTINENTAL WHARF DC HOTEL WEDDING
With a cloudy sky and 100% chance of rain, I normally get that “freakout” text from my brides – but not Meredith! She was cool and calm when I walked into her MASSIVE suite at the Intercontinental Wharf hotel… wowza – can everyone get ready in rooms that big!? Haha! She was finishing up with hair and makeup while I photographed all her pretty blue details before I scouted for a first look spot! Thank you to the Intercontinental for having this WONDERFUL overhang where we were able to take all the photos in natural light! YAY! I actually did stand under an umbrella at one point to get the angle I needed… you’ll see HAHA!
Meredith and Jeff were married by a close friend in a short ceremony inside. After the ceremony, they enjoyed cocktail hour with the rest of their guests while Maddy and I shot the reception details! I loved the nod to traveling with their airport code table assignments and airplane crazy straws! Also a big fan of their DC Koozies! Outside the reception hall was the most delicious looking Pittsburgh cookie table!! (I definitely took some home!)
The rest of the night included speeches, dances, tons of people taking polaroids around the dance floor, and eventually an inflatable Stanley Cup prop for all those Caps fans! Thank you to Meredith and Jeff who didn’t sweat the rain and enjoyed their day to the max!
