CHELSEA & TREY | COUNTRY CLUB OF VIRGINIA WEDDING

I loved capturing Chelsea and Trey’s Country Club of Virginia wedding in Richmond! One of my favorite things in the world is getting to capture wedding days for people that I know… it just adds that little extra excitement seeing friends tie the knot and photographing bridesmaids and guests that I know! Chelsea trusted me through the entire wedding experience process which made my job so easy! Chelsea’s attention to detail is another reason why she is definitely a BDphotos bride. For instance she worked with Curious Fox Press for her Save the Dates and wedding invitation suite. Her love of the ACL Railroad bridge showed on the Save the Date – a beautiful touch for their classic CCV Richmond wedding!

When we got to the church, we photographed the first look with Chelsea’s dad in the courtyard which was emotional for everyone! Such a sweet moment to capture! After the ceremony we headed to the Country Club of Virginia for a few wedding party photos followed by bride and groom portraits out front and on the golf course during golden hour! I’m a little obsessed with the photos that Natalie and I captured from bride and groom portraits especially since we only had 15 minutes before the reception started!

While their sweet dog, Brinkley wasn’t at the wedding IRL, he did make an appearance on the adorable signature drink sign, so keep an eye out for that detail later! Other details of the day included Trey’s monogram embroidered suspenders, Chelsea’s Grandmother’s embroidered handkerchief that made her dad cry during their father-daughter first look, the special wedding cup they drank out of after cake cutting, and the beautiful guest “book” Chelsea’s cousin drew of the bridge – it’s so beautiful!! Chelsea’s dad surprised Chelsea and Trey at the end of the night with a getaway…

 I freakin’ love this!!!!  Literally….. WHAT! A goddess!

Look at this beautiful group of gals!! Lots of Hollins girls in this bunch – love them so much!!  My other favorite thing was Chelsea twirling pretty much the whole day. She LOVED her dress. She kept saying “I can’t stop twirling… I love this dress SO MUCH!”  Someone give this girl a mimosa! Time for the father-daughter first look!!!!!  A very sentimental moment between Chelsea and her father with the gift of the grandmother’s handkerchief with Chelsea and Trey’s wedding date on it. Tears tears tears!  Obsessed with this photo and all of the emotions  – even the half of Taylor’s face on the left – staring at Trey!  The Weiskopf’s!!!!  Our cute little nose picker… Time to head over to the Country Club of Virginia for the wedding reception!  When you tell the wedding party they can go to cocktail hour… (but Chelsea and Trey… stay back! haha) I’m literally so obsessed with all of these!  I give Chelsea full credit for this shot! She wanted a hand in pocket detail shot of this gorgeous Anne Barge dress!  The light here was so gorgeous and romantic!  Twirling girl!!! I love all of these candid photos!  This girl is ready to parttttttyyyyy!  I’m all about this soft light that happens post-golden hour!  Caught a little bit of that glow as it was dropping through the trees!!! How about this cake!!!!! SweetFix nailed it!  Chelsea’s cousin drew this!!!! What! Amazing!

Chelsea and Trey drank out of the wedding cup!  I can vouch that this cake was delicious!This crew knows how to breakkkk it dowwwwwn  I’m laughing SO hard at Emilie really committing to getting down during Shout… AHAHA – Emilie is the best (and also a 2017 bride!) Hollins crew photo!Tried to capture this group of USC guys … they were having lots of fun! haha!    Remember I said that Chelsea liked to twirl? I didn’t lie did I? She really DID twirl ALL NIGHT LONG!  I really liked this silver tinsel exit!!! Such a great alternative for venues that don’t allow fire or for couples who want a different look! I loved the way these turned out! Chelsea’s dad surprised the newlyweds with a horse drawn carriage exit!!
