KATHLEEN & MATT | SALAMANDER RESORT WEDDING

From the beginning of the day, Kathleen and Matt were in chill mode – when I arrived the gals were sipping mimosas and listening to music in the bridal suite in matching floral robes. Kathleen shared first looks with her bridesmaids, her dad, and her godfather (and officiant) – everyone was emotional!  I loved the mismatched bridesmaids dresses from BHLDN and of course, Kathleen’s stunning bridal gown from Kleinfeld Bridal! Say Yes to the Dress anyone?!

Kathleen and Matt’s Salamander Resort wedding had major luck! The forecast wasn’t calling for rain but all of a sudden, 15 minutes before the ceremony, my weather app was calling for it! I kid you not, their ceremony was 6 minutes long and we were able to capture wedding party photos before it really started! I captured family formals in the front of Salamander under a covered “porch” but the real magic happened when I checked the weather for “sunset” and it had actually stopped raining. I persuaded Kathleen and Matt to come outside and lucky enough, we were able to get some of that golden hour goodness!! My favorite shot is Matt twirling Kathleen with the sun peeping over the building!

Continue on for Kathleen and Matt’s Salamander Resort wedding!  Kathleen’s Kleinfeld’s Bridal dress was a beauty! Bridesmaid reveal!  Time for the first look with Kathleen’s dad!  So sweet! So many happy tears!  Sisters! Dad and his girls! Tori’s guide dog was quite the model! Another first look with Kathleen’s godfather (and officiant!)  Kathleen and her Matron of Honor (my cousin and 2017 bride, Rachel!!)  So gorgeous, Kathleen!!!  “Let’s drop the mixtape”  It started raining so I found a spot out front to finish family formals out of the rain!     Matt and Kathleen danced to “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran  Now that’s a twirl! I noticed it stopped raining so I convinced Kathleen and Matt to take a few more shots outside since the rain cut our time short earlier!!

 Lucky US – the SUN WAS OUT!  In love with this shot!! The venue, the golden hour, and the twirl!

 I love this shot! Kathleen’s Dad brought Matt back up to the dance floor… waterworks!!!  My cousin and her husband, Dex! I may or may not be related to some these people too…  Literally CRACKED up that I caught my cousin “reeling in” her boyfriend to the dance floor. There was more than just the one wiggle photo of Ryan… but I won’t embarrass him the WHOLE way haha!  A little change because the bride was hot from dancin!
