Get ready to take a tour around Harrisonburg for Anna and Dan’s engagement session! We planned to start at JMU, hit up downtown, then drive to their wedding venue just a few minutes outside of downtown. When we got to talking, I asked Anna how she and Dan met and she said she actually spotted him from afar before ever meeting him in real life! She recognized his face (and Ravens jersey) again and introduced herself. When they started getting to know each other, they realized they grew up only miles away from each other back home in Annandale and also that they lived in the same building at JMU! Fast forward, Dan proposed to Anna at JMU and now, after 7 years together they’re tying the knot! They have been engaged for 3 years while Dan was in Vet school at Virginia Tech but he just graduated in May, so it’s time to get married! Congrats Doctor Dan! Time to party! I love Virginia in the Fall and their venue is going to be so perfect for their October date!
I totally loved this glowy tree and pink hydrangeas! The last time I took photos at JMU’s campus was in 2015 when my cousin graduated from college and I took her senior photos! It was fun to be back! I love the way the water looks in these fountain photos! We HAD to get a photos with James, duh! Can you believe that was his ACTUAL size? Like… what! Wandered into downtown Harrisonburg and I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous courthouse building!! Europe vibes. for suuuureeeee After a quick stop in downtown Harrisonburg, we drove over to their wedding venue, On Sunny Slope Farm, where they’ll get married this October! I can’t wait to see the farm in the Fall – I bet it will be just as gorgeous as it was this day with the golden hour light! I can’t wait for Fall colored leaves! The sun had gone behind a cloud but finally came back out and littttt up those hills! I’m loving it! This chapel is where Anna and Dan will say I do! Had to take some goofy pics in their favorite sports jerseys!
