KATIE & MATT | JAMES RIVER ENGAGEMENT SESSION

KATIE & MATT | JAMES RIVER ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Katie and Matt JUST moved to Richmond after living in Charlotte. They didn’t know where they wanted to take photos but mentioned to me that they loved to be outside so I suggested along the river. I took them to my new favorite river spot and I’m IN LOVE with the photos we got at this location… plus we got that golden hour glow and what more could you really ask for. I loved getting to know Katie and Matt throughout their engagement session and hear about their story. They met in highschool and were each other’s junior prom dates… so naturally I made them recreate prom pose at one point. They dated long distance through college – Matt at USC and Katie out in Oregon for lacrosse. Then after college they lived separately again so now they are FINALLY in the same place. Obviously I’m a huge RVA fan so I’m happy to welcome Katie and Matt into this great city!

Katie and Matt – thank you for being so fun and trusting me with a cool location for engagement photos! This James River spot is definitely one of my faves!

I thought the reflection was pretty cool!Shall we recreate PROM!?!?!?! Duh.  I LOVEEEE these giggly ones! Is this my favorite? or… … is this my favorite?! Ended their session closer to their house by… you guessed it. One of my fave houses on Monument. You can call me predictable or reliable with my location choices. I love how European it looks!  OKAY. I love this one. I know I said I already loved some. Add this to the list (bc boxwoods)  Found that golden light again in the Fan… and that gorgeous blooming crepe myrtle. Huge fan. Fun Fact: When I was growing up I thought they were called crepe turtles.

Me: Hey Katie. You match that house.

Thanks for checking out Katie and Matt’s James River engagement session (with a touch of the Fan)! Can’t wait for their Country Club of Virginia wedding next May!
