MORGAN & ROBERT | MANASSAS BATTLEFIELD ENGAGEMENT

MORGAN & ROBERT | MANASSAS BATTLEFIELD ENGAGEMENT

One of the best things about 2020 is my little sister getting engaged! Morgan and Robert met in college in the Fall of 2012 at Virginia Tech. Morgan, a sophomore, and Robert, a junior, they met after a party and quickly became inseparable. Their “how they met” story feels like it’s straight out of a Hallmark movie. Morgan met Robert on his birthday at a football tailgate. Robert didn’t have a ticket to the game so she ran around the parking lot trying to find one… she did and then he sat with her for the whole game even though she insisted that he didn’t have to.

On their first official date, they went to the mountains, he taught her how to make a fire, and they listened to country music and sat in the back of his truck talking until 3am under the stars. OKAY. She said they didn’t kiss that night but when they headed home he he grabbed her hand and held it the whole way home. In December of that year, Robert asked her to be his girlfriend. They dated through college and long distance while he moved to Georgia then Nashville then had a job on Jon Pardi’s tour bus traveling around the country. When Robert started med school in FL, Morgan moved down to be closer to him!

During covid, Morgan and Robert came up to Northern VA to see the family and ended up staying! Robert studied and Morgan worked and we traveled to Weems, VA (his hometown) to stay at The Tides Inn for my Dad’s birthday weekend aka PROPOSAL weekend! You can read that story, here!

I’m so excited for my baby sis and her soon to be HUSBAND! Can’t wait for their wedding next Spring on the water at Herrington on the Bay!

Even though I was present for the proposal and post-proposal photos, I took Morgan and Robert to the Manassas Battlefields for romantic golden hour portraits!!
