GINA & MARK | CARNEGIE INSTITUTION FOR SCIENCE | DC WEDDING

Gina and Mark did their wedding day DC style! With getting ready at The Mayflower Hotel, Mass at St. Matthews, and a beautiful reception at Carnegie Institution for Science! Gina looked absolutely stunning in her Lazaro gown – I couldn’t stop snapping photos of her on the steps of Carnegie!! Like…. M O D E L status!! Mark looked dapper in his tux and VELVET loafers – too cool! The day felt very relaxed – plenty of time to get to and from – which always helps to relieve stress!

I came early and started photographing details in the bedroom while the glam team finished up hair and makeup! I always enjoy photographing the detail elements on the wedding suite (if you have followed me for a while… you know this about me!)

One of the special things about Gina and Mark tying the knot at St. Matthews was that the priest was ALSO Gina’s cousin! The church was beautiful and I loved seeing Mark’s big smile as Gina walked down he aisle and how he stared at her during the ceremony – so sweet!

The great thing about Gina and Mark’s wedding was that all the locations were pretty close together! After the ceremony, we traveled to Carnegie for wedding party portraits on the steps! Love taking them! The crew was a lot of fun! Before heading to cocktail hour, we took some more in the library upstairs. Cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, with dancing to follow. I thought it was pretty neat that dancing took place in the rotunda – it felt really regal!
