BEN & CASEY | BEAR’S DEN OVERLOOK ENGAGEMENT | BLUEMONT, VA
Ben and Casey… where to begin?! Casey mentioned wanting mountains and after a little research we chose Bear’s Den Overlook in Bluemont, VA! I met up with Ben and Casey on a Wednesday afternoon and the sky was overcast, which was totes fine with me. They brought their adorable dog, Brooks, and we set off for where we THOUGHT the overlook was… based on the directions of a hiker who gave us “directions.” However, as we’re walking down the path that this woman told us to walk down, we keep going downhill and we get to this pile of rocks and all we can see is a wall of trees. This ain’t it… after a quick phone call to my pal who has shot at the overlook before, we realized we needed to turn back, walk up the hill, past our cars, and the overlook was like 3 min away from the parking lot. So, my b, we got a little sweaty on our walk back!
We FINALLY found the overlook and we had it ALL to ourselves. If you’ve never been to Bear’s Den Overlook – ya need to go! We snapped for a little bit – Ben and Casey are total naturals and totally adorable and then it started to drizzle.. and it started drizzling harder and I’m like… gosh darn it, Dark Sky didn’t say anything about this! Not to worry, the rain passed about 5 min later!
An outfit change later, we continued with epic overlook shots – I think I found a new fave shooting spot! While the sun never came out… but the wine did! Don’t YOU get dressed up and open wine on top of mountains?! l o l…
