This is absolutely the most colorful Richmond engagement session I’ve ever done… I mean, even beyond Richmond, how rad is this mural! Emily told me she wanted to show FUN Richmond by choosing this bright mural and classic Richmond by taking photos on Monument avenue with the Fall leaves! I’m SO GLAD we did both! I loved both locations!!
Emily and I met our freshman year at Hollins University… wowza 11 years ago! I actually met up with Emily when she studied abroad in Paris and I was in London – she told us all the best places to eat in Paris… hello Angelina’s hot chocolate. Emily has always “kept up” with me and my photography so when I moved to Richmond and she got engaged I was so excited when she asked ME to take engagement photos!
Emily and Heather met through mutual grad school friends three years ago and as Emily said, ” have been together ever since!” We had a lot of fun on at their session, I mean, I really don’t think I’ve laughed so hard! We just goofed around and took fun pictures in two beautiful Richmond locations!!

This “iconic” Richmond engagement session spot has gone through a little makeover! The paint used to be peeled but it’s all new… idk how I feel about it yet. haha But I can’t resist that vine so… there’s that.
Their idea to jump up there… not mine… hahaha my idea was to do an epic jump off… but we realized that their ankles are more important than a sick jump pic. hahaha
I said… hey! Let’s walk over to those Hokie lookin’ trees… haha in which Heather said HECK YEAH! She went to VT! I call myself an honorary Hokie because both of my sisters went there!
